VirgoSFX is a Chicago-based makeup artistry brand specializing in Special Effects, Beauty, Body Painting, Airbrush, and Film/TV makeup services. Founded by professional makeup artist Pia Macias, VirgoSFX was built from a passion for transformation, creativity, and cinematic storytelling.

Since beginning her journey in makeup artistry in 2014 at Kosart Studios, Pia has continued to refine her craft through advanced training at Cinema Makeup School, Make Up First, and mentorship from respected industry professionals. Her work has contributed to projects connected with Disney Channel, NBC, ABC, and 20th Century Film, while also collaborating with photographers, productions, brands, and creatives throughout the Midwest.

VirgoSFX offers a wide range of artistry services, from high-definition beauty makeup and editorial work to fantasy-inspired creations, body painting, character design, and special effects transformations. Every project is approached with professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to bringing each client’s vision to life.

In addition to production and freelance artistry, Pia currently teaches Basic Special Effects Makeup at Chicago Makeup School, helping inspire and educate the next generation of artists. Outside of her professional work, Pia is also a wife and mother of three, bringing both creativity and heart into every aspect of her artistry and business.

Based in the Chicago area and available for travel, VirgoSFX provides makeup services for film, television, commercial, editorial, creative projects, headshots, events, and private bookings.
